About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, within the hotel's Purchasing Department, this role will assist the Purchasing Supervisor in overseeing the hotel’s business control related to storage management.
As Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Procurement Management:
• Assist in the development of the purchasing system.
• Comply with the procurement policy established by MOHG and the Director of Purchasing.
• Ensure the use of the most competitive supplier quotations that meet the property specifications.
• Adhere to the quality standards required by the group, following the specified guideliness.
• Prepare and review food purchase orders.
2. Document Management:
• Maintain and organize all documentation required by MOHG policies and sanitary regulations.
• Manage and archive sanitary records of supplier companies and technical data sheets for sensitive products.
3. Supplier Management:
• Monitor new food suppliers.
• Assist with food supplier audits, ensuring compliance with established policies.
• Support the evaluation of food suppliers.
• Coordinate with Culinary Area to ensure food quality and adherence to FLHSS policies for the reception and storage of goods.
As Purchasing Clerk, we expect from you:
• Studies in food and beverage, business management or similar.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in Hospitality industry in Mallorca.
• Analytical mindset with cost control and negotiation abilities.
• Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented profile.
• Solid knowledge of databases and Excel.
• Previous experience with systems like Moreton or BirchStreet is highly valued.
• A valid work permit for Spain is required.
