Overview:

The Reservations Agent is responsible for selling the hotel and providing information to prospective guests, to capture sales from the incoming calls and coordinate details of each reservation to ensure the guest’s satisfaction.

The Reservations Agent will report to the Director of Revenue Management.

Essential Functions:

General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Candidate must be able to Prioritize, organize and follow-up. Candidate must be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Systems Knowledge: Proficient with Windows Office, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Microsoft teams.  Ability to trouble shoot reservations and systems issues.

Language: Required to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting a minimum of 15 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods.

Schedule: Flexible availability is required for this position to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Customer and Personal Service

The Reservations Agent serves as the voice of the hotel when guests first call or visit the property to inquire about booking. This role requires the Agent to take guest reservations in a professional and courteous manner. This individual must ensure adherence to proper revenue policies & procedures in accordance with all Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Standards.
