About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Reservations Department in Zurich, the Reservations Agent is responsible for interacting with guests daily, helping them to book rooms and at our Food & Beverage Outlets. The Reservations Agent is reporting to our Reservations Manager.
As Reservations Agent, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Professional acceptance and processing of reservation requests for our F&B outlets as well as hotel bookings, including group inquiries, using our hotel and reservation software.
Focus on coordinating and optimizing reservations in our various F&B outlets to ensure the best possible occupancy and guest service.
Care of VIP and regular guests, taking into account individual wishes and preferences for restaurant, event, and hotel reservations.
Creation and management of offers for group and individual reservations in F&B and hotel areas, including monitoring expiration and cancellation deadlines.
Efficient processing and filing of reservation correspondence to ensure smooth handling.
Telephone and written communication with guests, as well as handling incoming internal and external calls.
Close cooperation with the departments of Service, Kitchen, Front Office, and Sales & Marketing to ensure an excellent stay for our guests.
As Reservations Agent, we expect from you:
A completed apprenticeship as a hotel specialist, hotel clerk or travel agent. Or experience in the reservations department in a similar position
In-depth computer skills, ideally HMS, Infor and Banqueting Delphi
A friendly, courteous, confident appearance on the phone and in direct contact with the guests
A strong sales- and turnover-oriented working style as well as negotiation skills
Organization skills, excellent manners and a well-groomed appearance
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
Independent, structured working style with great attention to detail.
