Mandarin Oriental, Boston is looking for a Residential Doorperson to join our Residences Team.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston in the Residences Department, the Residential Doorperson will be responsible for overall Resident satisfaction including initiating contact with Residents and Guests entering the Residences and creating a delightful arrival and departure experience. 

The Residential Doorperson will report to the Residential Manager.

As Residential Doorperson, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Initiate contact with entering and departing Residents and Guests, while opening and closing the Residential Lobby door.
  • Assist Residents with luggage, load luggage onto carts for delivery, and provide luggage tags to Residents and their Guests requesting luggage storage.
  • Assist/greet Residents and visitors with car doors within thirty seconds of arrival.
  • Assist in coordinating the flow of street traffic outside the Residences.
  • Partially escort guests of Residents to either the Residential Concierge Desk or the hotel’s main lobby where applicable. 
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the driveway and front residential entrance.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

As Residential Doorperson, we expect from you:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a guest-facing hospitality role. Luxury hotel or condominium experience strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Able to routinely lift, carry, or move materials weighing 50 pounds.
  • Able to occasionally lift, carry, or move materials weighing 100 pounds.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.

Desirable:

  • Multilingual is preferred.

Compensation:

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $29.78.
