About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid within the F&B Department in, the RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, supervising staff performance, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, handling customer inquiries or complaints, and supporting the team in achieving service and sales goals. The RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR reports to the RESTAURANT MANAGER.

As RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager in supervising daily operations.
  • Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and profitability are consistently met.
  • Support management in maximizing guest volume and overall satisfaction.
  • Train, supervise, and schedule restaurant staff, handle payroll and shift coverage.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Implement new menus, promotions, and service initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment and support staff development.
  • Maintain adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards.
  • Inspect equipment and tools regularly to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.

As RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR, we expect from you: 

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fine dining restaurant in a supervisory or similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills and a pleasant, professional attitude.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts based on business needs.
