About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston within the Sales Department in Boston, Massachusetts, the Sales Coordinator is responsible for assisting members of the Sales team with general administrative duties associated with hotel clients. They are a vital source of support for the sales team and assist in the overall achievement of sales goals and objectives.

The Sales Coordinator reports to the Director of Commerce and receives direction from assigned Sales and Catering Managers.

As Sales Coordinator you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Take full responsibility for assisting members of the Sales team
  • Perform administrative duties associated with Sales processes and hotel clients, including, but not limited to:
    • Making and receiving phone calls
    • Responding to internal and external inquiries via email
    • Creating Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
    • Drafting proposals
    • Drafting presentations
    • Maintaining accurate files on behalf of the Sales department
  • Provide quality service by responding to all requests promptly, efficiently and courteously 
  • System reporting analysis
  • Other duties as assigned by management in support of the sales process

As Sales Coordinator, we expect from you: 

  • Minimum of one year’s experience in luxury hospitality in a similar role.
  • Strong administrative proficiency.
  • Excellent guest service attitude and communication skills.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Strong multitasking ability. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Multilingual is preferred

Compensation

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $30.96.
