· Helps to implement agreed rate structure and strategies for selected market segments together with the Director of Marketing and Commerce;
· Proactively identifies, qualifies and solicits new transient Corporate and Luxury Consortia accounts to achieve personal and property’s revenue goals;
· Builds and strengthens relationships with portfolio of existing customers and key decision-makers in both local and international markets.
· Works closely with the Global Sales Team in key source markets to keep them updated about latest news, promotions and trends at the hotel and local market;
· Develops and implements effective sales plans and actions;
· Conducts rate negotiations and finalises contracts with travel agents and corporate accounts in co-ordination with the Director of Marketing & Commerce.
· Establishes and maintains effective working relations both within the department and with other departments;
· Helps to create travel plan and as appropriate executes sales trips to key markets;
· Attends selected trade shows/functions and promotes the hotel;
· Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and provides feedback to the team;
· Organises and conducts familiarisation trips and hotel site inspections for key clients;
· Helps to plan and execute entertainment for major clients of the hotel;
· Assists with training, guidance and development of the sales team members;
· Attends Revenue Meetings, Credit Meetings, and other internal meetings as required by business.
