About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore within the Security Department, the Security Manager is responsible for the overall security and safety in the hotel, the Security Manager oversees the entire operational and administrative duties of the Security department and is overall responsible for the team's performance and career development. Ensure conformity of work standards and consistency in carrying out departmental operations and security and safety related of the guests, colleagues within the premises of the hotel. The Security Manager reports to the Hotel Manager.
As Security Manager,you will be responsible for the following duties:
Responsible for the security team's training, development, coaching and discipline as appropriate when required.
Enforce work standard and follow-up on the team's work performance.
Update operational information and procedures.
Report any discrepancies, deviation of procedure or standard practice and carry out the necessary follow-ups
Update on security intelligence (suspicious movements and trends of individual or activities)
Conduct daily security briefing and intelligence gathering for subordinates
Responsible to care for and keep security systems (such as CCTV, fire alarm, etc.) in good working order
Attend external meeting with relevant authorized bodies, agencies and security network.
Attend external workshop, forum and seminars as representative of the Dept/Hotel.
Carry out appraisal exercise on subordinates
Organize and coordinate Security & Safety Awareness and Training Programs in the hotel.
Any other duties related duties as and when required and special operation and investigation assigned by Hotel Manager
As Security Manager, we expect from you:
Possess all regulatory licenses for the role
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a luxury hotel in similar capacity
Adaptable and can work in a fast-paced environment
