Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that the wine list is continuously updated about trends, focusing on Italian and local products and labels 

  • Serve all beverage orders in a professional manner, using the correct equipment and following the proper procedures 

  • Be able to recommend wine to guests according to the requirements  

  • Take beverage orders promoting up-selling techniques  

  • Advise and train the service team for what concerns all aspects of the beverage service 

  • Ensure that all wine lists are updated and maintain an accurate sales record of wines and spirits 

  • Control the stock levels of all beverage items 

  • Assist with the service of food if and when necessary 

 

 Requirements: 

  • Previous working experience in a fine-dining restaurant, preferably in a 5-star luxury resort/hotel 

  • Fluent in English and Italian 

  • Willing to learn and able to work under pressure 

  • Proactive, with good customer-service skills
