The hotel Spa consists of treatment rooms, an indoor pool and a fitness centre offering a tranquil and luxurious wellness experience.

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the Spa Department, the Spa Concierge is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by coordinating spa services, managing reservations and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the spa reception and guest journey.

The Spa Concierge reports to the Spa Manager / Spa Director.

As Spa Concierge, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring an exceptional first impression and personalized spa experience.
  • Managing spa reservations and appointment scheduling efficiently to maximize therapist availability and spa revenue while prioritizing guest needs.
  • Maintaining complete knowledge of spa treatments, wellness services and retail products in order to assist and advise guests.
  • Assisting guests with spa orientation tours, explaining facilities including the swimming pool, locker rooms, fitness centre, relaxation areas and spa suites.
  • Handling telephone inquiries, emails and booking requests following Mandarin Oriental telephone etiquette standards.
  • Preparing daily schedules, confirmation calls and documentation for upcoming spa appointments.
  • Ensuring all spa administrative procedures are completed accurately including guest records, confirmations, gift certificates and pre-payment arrangements.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of reception supplies and supporting the retail area to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming reception and spa environment at all times.
  • Supporting spa operations across all areas including locker rooms, relaxation areas, retail and guest flow coordination.
  • Assisting in spa events, promotions, demonstrations and marketing activities when required.
  • Maintaining accurate logs of guest requests, turn-away guests and operational notes.
  • Reporting any equipment malfunction or operational issues to the Spa Manager or Spa Director.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and hygiene regulations within the spa environment.
  • Contributing to spa retail sales and achieving sales targets set by the Spa Director.
  • Supporting colleagues across the spa and hotel departments when required to ensure a seamless guest journey.
  • Participating in daily briefings, departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Performing opening and closing duties and ensuring the spa reception area remains organized, stocked and operational.
