About the job 

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Spa Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring luxury and tranquillity await our guests during all their wellness journey.  You will be providing support to our therapists, wellness advisors, attendants and fitness instructors ensuring seamless transitions and service from check-in to check-out and everything in between. 

As Spa Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:  

  • Ensuring guest and colleague satisfaction at all times, with safety and service as the Spa’s top priorities. 

  • Leading, training and coaching the team, including performance management, counselling, scheduling, and daily supervision. 

  • Actively promoting Spa & Wellness services and retail products, using your strong knowledge of all offerings and products. 

  • Supporting Wellness Advisors and Attendants throughout the day and providing operational coverage when required. 

  • Assisting the Assistant Spa Manager and/or Director of Spa with facility maintenance, work orders and overall operational efficiency. 

  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of competitors, including locations, product offerings, pricing, and promotional activity. 

  • Administering and implementing Spa operational training, such as telephone etiquette, guest relations, sales techniques and service standards. 

  • Conducting Spa tours for prospective guests and members when needed. 

  • Supporting the Fitness Instructors with wellness offerings and the upkeep of the Fitness Centre. 

  • Creating a positive team spirit and welcoming atmosphere by delivering engaging, personalized, timely and efficient service to our discerning guests. 

  • Demonstrating a consistent focus on guest needs, while remaining calm, professional, and courteous at all times. 

  • Promoting and enforcing health and safety awareness, with a full understanding of emergency procedures. 

  • Ensuring compliance with hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards. 

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the operation by sharing ideas, making suggestions, and participating in regular departmental meetings. 

As Spa Operation Supervisor, we expect from you:  

Experience and education 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is a must. 

  • Related advanced education is highly valued. 

  • Previous experience in luxury hospitality / spa centers in a similar position. 

  • Wellness related studies 

Technical Skills 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, SpaSoft and basic accounting principles. 

  • Excellent personal appearance, good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. 

  • Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and multitask with ease all while focusing on the guests. 

  • Knowledge of guest service and/or hospitality industry. 

  • Passion for wellness. 

  • Reliable and energetic personality. 

  • Flexible schedule required. 

  • Ability to work well with others.
