Mandarin Oriental, Makati is an upcoming 5-star luxury hotel set within the lush Ayala Triangle Gardens, at the prestigious corner of Paseo de Roxas and Makati Avenue. Scheduled to open in 2026, this landmark development will feature 275 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites, offering a refined blend of contemporary design and timeless sophistication. The Role

The Valet Driver is responsible for delivering a seamless and luxurious arrival and departure experience for guests by safely parking and retrieving vehicles promptly and professionally. This role reflects the brand’s commitment to exceptional service by embodying elegance, discretion, and attention to detail at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure in line with Mandarin Oriental service standards
  • Assist guests with opening vehicle doors, luggage handling, and providing directions or assistance as required
  • Maintain a courteous, polished, and anticipatory approach to guest service at all times
  • Ensure all interactions reflect the hotel’s high standards of luxury hospitality

Valet Operations

  • Safely park guests' vehicles in designated areas, ensuring adherence to all security and safety protocols
  • Retrieve vehicles efficiently and promptly upon guest request, minimizing wait times
  • Accurately issue and manage valet tickets, ensuring proper documentation and vehicle tracking
  • Conduct a visual inspection of vehicles upon receipt and report any pre-existing damage
  • Ensure proper key handling, safeguarding, and storage at all times

Safety & Compliance

  • Drive all types of vehicles (manual, automatic, luxury, SUVs) responsibly and with care
  • Follow all local traffic laws, hotel policies, and safety regulations
  • Immediately report accidents, damages, or unusual incidents to the supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, organized valet area and ensure traffic flow around the hotel entrance remains smooth

Teamwork & Communication

  • Coordinate closely with the Concierge, Bell Service, Security, and Front Office teams
  • Communicate efficiently regarding vehicle requests, guest arrivals, and special instructions
  • Assist colleagues during peak periods to ensure seamless guest service

Maintenance & Upkeep

  • Ensure the valet driveway and parking areas are clean, orderly, and presentable at all times
  • Assist in minor vehicle-related guest concerns (e.g., directions to gas stations, basic inquiries)
  • Report any maintenance or operational issues affecting valet services

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous valet, driving, or hotel guest service experience preferred
  • Experience in luxury or upscale hospitality environment is an advantage
  • Valid professional driver’s license (Philippines) with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency in driving both manual and automatic vehicles
  • Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and reliability
