About the job

Based within the Housekeeping Department at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, the Valet is responsible for supporting the housekeeping operation by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficient service delivery across guest floors and back-of-house areas.

The Valet reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor / Assistant Housekeeper.

As Valet, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Attend to guest requests promptly and efficiently, including laundry collection, delivery of amenities, and any other in-room services required.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards across assigned guest floors.
• Support Room Attendants and Supervisors in ensuring that pantries are well-organized and stocked, including linen and housekeeping supplies.
• Assist in the distribution of linen, amenities, and operational materials across different floors.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest floors, corridors, and back-of-house areas, reporting any maintenance issues.
• Ensure deep cleaning of assigned areas, including walls, carpets, rugs, windows, and high or hard-to-reach surfaces.
• Maintain impeccable standards in corridors and public areas by cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, and reporting any defects.
• Carry out cleaning tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping team.
• Replenish linen stocks in floor pantries and ensure timely transfer of soiled linen to the laundry.
• Ensure emergency exits and corridors remain clear and free of obstructions at all times.
• Support housekeeping operations by assisting in room cleaning duties when required.
• Move and rearrange furniture to facilitate cleaning or maintenance tasks.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, ensuring it is clean and in proper working condition.
• Assist with guest room changes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Management team.
