You will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing. The Director of Sales directly manages the Sales Team.

Oversee the overall sales strategies for the hotel and ensure that the Sales Team is effectively managed and their efforts are aligned with the hotel’s business goals and plans

Major responsibilities

  • Assisting DOSM in formulating and implementing sales strategies for maximizing room and banquet revenue;
  • Direct Sales team and ensure they meet the targets set in the annual sales & marketing plan
  • Attend major local and overseas trade shows, hotel and tourist association meetings to identify market opportunities for the hotel
  • Plan and where appropriate, execute sales trips to key existing market areas and identify new potential market areas.
  • Meet and entertain all influential clients and ensure there is follow-up on all discussed details
  • Organize and accompany familiarization site inspection trips of the hotel by major clients
  • Establish and maintain effective colleague and working relations both within the department and with other departments
  • Success will be measured by the sales results vs sales objectives of the managed account/market portfolio of the Director of Sales, as well as the portfolio result of the entire Sales Team

 

Job Requirements

  • Ideally 3-5 years experience in a 5-star hotel. Preferably already in a position within a luxury hotel in Paris or in Europe.
  • Previous Sales Manager experience of 3-5 years
  • Is able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external guests
  • Who is passionate about exceeding guest expectations
  • Excellent (inter)personal, communication and presentation skills are required
  • Hard working, able to work in a fast-paced working environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Native French speaker preferred or fluent as second language. Speak, read and communicate in a good level of English
  • Must be of smart appearance
