The Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich has 80 guest rooms and suites and three dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a lobby lounge. The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Front Office Department, the Front Office Agent will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous Front Desk service in accordance with Legendary Quality Experiences. It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will always keep the guest’s perspective in mind and carry out the mission of the Rooms Division. The Front Office Agent reports to the Assistant Front Office Manager and Front Office Manager.

As Front Office Agent, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Delivering exceptional arrival and departure experiences
  • Supporting the billing and invoicing process with accuracy and efficiency
  • Building genuine personal connections with guests and ensuring continuous care, comfort, and warmth throughout their stay
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all health and safety regulations
  • Managing a variety of administrative and operational tasks while maintaining a thorough understanding of our Mission Statement, Pillars, and service standards
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling, encouraging guests to enjoy the full range of hotel facilities

As Front Office Agent, we expect from you:

  • Successfully completed vocational training in the hotel industry, with front office experience in upscale hospitality
  • Strong team player with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in computer systems with solid knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – approachable and professional in handling both guest complaints and positive feedback
  • Flexibility and resilience - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts  
  • Excellent manners, approachable and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma 
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English. Other foreign languages are an advantage
  • Successful applicants must have the right to work in Switzerland
