ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF GROUP SALES

 

We’re looking for an Group Sales Manager to join our iconic Sales & Marketing team.

As a Assistant Director of Group Sales at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, you will be responsible for

  • To achieve budgeted revenues in Groups, Conference and Banqueting in keeping with the annual budget and marketing plan.
  • To handle all Group and Event enquiries at enquiry handling stage: Proposing, following up, contracting and carrying out site inspections to achieve high levels of conversion.
  • To effectively manage a portfolio of key assigned accounts through planned sales activity, maximising account potential in terms of rate, room-nights and / or events in accordance with overall sales strategies.
  • To focus on the growth and continued production of existing assigned Group and Event Accounts, both domestic and international and to develop new Group and Event Accounts that are suitable to the pricing strategy of the hotel.
  • To research and develop revenues from other assigned geographical territories.
  • To develop and maintain an accurate database of all assigned Group and Event accounts.
  • To evaluate and respond to all enquiries from assigned territory / accounts received. 
  • Ensuring a detailed handover to the Groups and Event Managers outlining the previous discussions, opportunities to delight and billing details.
  • To ensure effective communication with other hotel departments to enable the smooth operation of in-house groups and functions

To be a successful Assistant Director of Group Sales, you will have a proven track-record in an Group Sales within the luxury hospitality industry. You are a passionate about luxury experience, build excellent rapport with clients, are detail oriented and diligent, whilst being able to adapt and deal with changing priorities.
