About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Paris within the Camelia restaurant, the Restaurant Assistant Manager will support the Restaurant Manager in all related operational, administrative and financial aspects of the outlet and assumes full responsibility in his absence.
As Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Prepare the dining area according to established standards to ensure a warm welcome for guests.
Oversee the smooth service of meals in the restaurant.
Ensure guest satisfaction and handle any complaints or feedback professionally.
Coordinate with various hotel departments (kitchen, front office, housekeeping, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.
Support the Restaurant Manager in supervising daily service and operations.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively.
Help lead, train, and motivate the restaurant team to maintain high service standards.
As Restaurant Assistant Manager, we expect from you:
Detail-oriented, well-organized, attentive, and courteous.
Degree or diploma in hospitality management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven experience of at least 2 years as a Chef de Rang or similar position in the hospitality industry.
Proactive mindset with enthusiasm and a sense of initiative and leadership.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
