About the Job:
The Assistant Room Service Manager assists the Room Service Manager in all operational, administrative and financial aspects of in-room catering, including potential catering events in rooms, suites and apartments, as well as setting up in-room equipment and managing minibars in coordination with the reception and housekeeping teams.
As Room Service and Banquet Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of room service and banquet functions, ensuring exceptional service and high-quality standards.
Supervise, train, and motivate the team, ensuring all staff members are performing at their best and delivering excellent service.
Ensure room service orders are prepared and delivered promptly, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Coordinate and manage banquet events, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding guest expectations.
Collaborate closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of food and beverage services.
Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally and efficiently, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
Maintain and monitor inventory for both room service and banquet operations, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to optimize operations and enhance service quality.
Create and manage staff schedules to meet operational requirements while ensuring team satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a safe working environment for both guests and staff.
Work in partnership with the sales and events team to ensure the successful execution of banquets and private events.
As Room Service and Banquet Assistant Manager, We Expect From You:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment, with experience in managing both room service and banquets.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and manage a team effectively.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, including banquet operations and procedures.
Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs to ensure profitability.
