As a Assistant Sommelier in Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, you will be responsible for

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a delighted bar and dining experience to our guests.
  • Oversee and maintain smooth and efficient operations in the bar areas.
  • Understand guests’ needs and deliver excellent service and professional recommendation.
  • Ensure that the beverage lists are updated and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Monitor the proper storage, aging rotation and temperature of all stock in beverage storeroom in a daily basis.
  • Serve all beverage order in accordance with proper procedures.
  • Provide on-the-job training to bartenders as well as the service team in all aspects of the beverage service and knowledge.
  • Follow and apply HACCP standards at all times.
  • Candidate with less working experience will be considered as Assistant Sommelier.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' working experience in a trendy upscale bar & restaurant
  • Excellent beverage and wine knowledge
  • Good command in spoken English and preferably in Mandarin / Cantonese communication
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Sommelier
  • Passionate in customer service and hospitality industry
