MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL GROUP

We are currently looking for a talented and highly driven Chef de Partie with passion of creating meMOrable dining experiences for guests at our Japanese restaurant ‘SACHI’.

Main Responsibilities: 

    • Checking goods deliveries, quality, freshness, quantity and costs.
    • Order products for his/her section, under the supervision of his/her line manager.
    • Ensuring the production of impeccable dishes of excellent quality.
    • In collaboration with the Chef de Cuisine, discuss the customers' impressions of the dishes with those in charge of the dining room.
    • In collaboration with the Chef, participate in dealing with any customer dissatisfaction.
    • Complying with the standards and recipes set by the Executive Chef.
    • Adhere to and apply the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in ‘Our Commitments’.
    • Establish and maintain productive and effective relationships with subordinates, colleagues and superiors.
    • Organise the introduction of new employees in accordance with procedures (mentoring, introduction to different tasks, knowledge check).
    • Ongoing training of existing staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum BEP/CAP level
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Preferably initial experience in the luxury hotel sector
