Based at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within IT Division in Hong Kong, the Cluster Director of IT is responsible for overseeing all guest-facing technologies, ensuring reliable product performance, innovative service offerings, and delivering personalized and efficient support for the same; and Budgeting, Projects, Risk Management, Task Management, Lifecycle Management, Cybersecurity & PCI Compliance, Hotel Executive Business Partner, MOHG IT Interface, Strategic Alignment. Internal & External Audit Compliance. The Cluster Director of IT reports directly to the Deputy General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and the General Manager of Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong.

As Cluster Director of IT, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Technology Leadership and Strategy

• Lead the overall technology vision for both hotels, ensuring strong communication, alignment, and adoption across all teams

• Foster a unified, service‑focused technology culture that enhances both guest experience and colleague productivity

• Collaborate with MOHG, partners, and vendors to keep the hotels at the forefront of industry trends and digital innovation

• Contribute to strategic planning, identifying opportunities where technology drives operational efficiency and competitive advantage

Operational Management

• Oversee daily IT operations, policies, standards, and service delivery across both properties

• Supervise IT support functions, routine task management, and service performance

• Manage departmental operating budgets, capex planning, and manpower requirements

• Ensure compliance with MOHG technology standards, corporate guidelines, and local regulations

• Maintain effective vendor relationships and contracts to ensure reliable and high‑quality technology services

Infrastructure and Network Management

• Lead preventative maintenance programs to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime

• Manage network infrastructure, including configuration, Wi‑Fi performance, and lifecycle upgrades

• Oversee technology asset lifecycle and ensure timely replacement and optimization

Cybersecurity and Compliance

• Lead cybersecurity strategy, monitoring, risk assessment, and incident response

• Oversee internal/external audits, data protection compliance, and MOHG security controls

• Manage business continuity planning, including drills and readiness activities

Project Management

• Drive major IT and digital transformation projects from planning through execution

• Lead the hotel’s five‑year technology capital planning and future‑proofing initiatives

• Evaluate and implement local innovations and technology solutions that enhance guest experience and operational excellence

Audio Visual Technology

• Oversee the lifecycle and performance of audio visual systems used in events and hotel operations

• Manage audio visual vendors and related service contracts

IT Team Management

• Lead, develop, and mentor the IT team, ensuring strong technical capability and service culture

• Manage hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions

• Uphold high standards of professionalism, conduct, and grooming within the department

As Cluster Director of IT, we expect from you:

• Minimum 5 years of IT management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or hotel group

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline

• Strong knowledge of hotel technology systems (PMS, POS, CRM), network infrastructure, and cybersecurity practices

• A proven record in leading IT operations, IT projects and digital transformation initiatives

• Service oriented with excellent communications and interpersonal skills

• Solid understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, and business continuity planning

• Strong vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management skills

• Strong in communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills
