Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern is an iconic Belle Époque landmark, offering a premier luxury experience. The hotel comprises 136 rooms and suites, four restaurants, one bar together with a variety of meeting facilities, a Spa and a fitness room.

Based at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich and Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne, the Cluster Director of Sales - Transient is responsible for the overall transient sales performance of both properties, with strategic oversight of commercial initiatives and revenue growth. The role drives top-line revenue through proactive business development, strategic account management, and market expansion, while fostering strong partnerships and close cross-functional collaboration. As a senior commercial leader, the Cluster Director of Sales -Transient ensures performance excellence, brand alignment, and sustainable growth across both hotels.
As Cluster Director of Sales - Transient you will be responsible for the following duties
Lead and execute the transient sales strategy across both properties to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
Identify and develop new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with key corporate, travel trade, and global accounts.
Oversee account performance and market trends to ensure sales results meet or exceed budgeted targets.
Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing strategies, inventory, and market positioning.
Lead, inspire, and develop the Sales team, ensuring alignment with brand standards and consistent sales processes.
Represent both hotels at trade shows, sales missions, and client events to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
Drive cross-selling initiatives and key account planning across the Mandarin Oriental portfolio.
Foster strong collaboration across Commercial, Events, Reservations, and Operations teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
As Cluster Director of Sales - Transient, we expect from you
Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in the luxury hotel industry, ideally with strong transient exposure.
Proven success in business development, negotiation, and managing high-value corporate and travel trade accounts.
Strong understanding of transient segments within the luxury and lifestyle market.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German; additional languages are an advantage.
Established industry network and ability to build long-term client relationships.
Strong commercial, analytical, and forecasting skills.
· Confident brand ambassador with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
High level of organization, resilience, and a results-driven mindset.
Proficiency in hotel systems and CRM tools (e.g. Delphi, Opera, Salesforce) and MS Office.
Willingness to travel as required.
