About the Job
Based in the Corporate Office in Hong Kong, the Director, Data & AI Solutions Lead is responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of data, machine learning, and Generative AI–powered solutions across our global luxury hospitality portfolio.
The role bridges business strategy and advanced technology, translating commercial and operational priorities into scalable, secure, and high‑impact digital products that enhance guest experience, optimise operations, and enable data‑driven decision‑making at scale.
The position reports to the VP of Data, Analytics & AI.
As Data & AI Solutions Lead, you will be responsible for the following:
Data, AI & GenAI Solution Delivery
Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of data‑driven and AI‑powered applications, from ideation and prioritisation through design, development, deployment, and adoption.
Lead delivery of solutions leveraging:
Enterprise data platforms and analytical applications
Machine learning and advanced analytics
Generative AI capabilities (e.g., copilots, personalisation, content automation, knowledge assistants)
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and production‑ready, meeting enterprise architecture and cybersecurity standards.
Business Partnership & Value Realisation
Act as a trusted technology partner to leaders across commercial, operations, marketing, loyalty, finance, and guest experience.
Shape problem statements and solution roadmaps aligned to strategic outcomes, including:
Guest personalisation and experience enhancement
Revenue optimisation and demand forecasting
Operational efficiency and workforce productivity
Executive reporting and decision intelligence
Define clear success metrics, KPIs, and measurable business outcomes for all initiatives.
Technical Oversight & Architecture Alignment
Provide hands‑on leadership and design oversight across:
Data modelling, pipelines, and semantic layers
ML model development, deployment, and monitoring
GenAI architecture patterns (RAG, prompt orchestration, agent frameworks)
Partner with enterprise architecture, cloud, and security teams to ensure:
Alignment with platform standards (e.g., cloud data platforms, MLOps frameworks)
Responsible AI, data privacy, and regulatory compliance across regions
Make informed build‑versus‑buy decisions and manage strategic technology vendors.
Team Leadership & Delivery Excellence
Lead and mentor multi‑disciplinary teams including data engineers, analytics engineers, ML engineers, data scientists, and product owners.
Establish best practices across agile execution, DevOps/MLOps, testing, and release management.
Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across global delivery teams.
Governance, Risk & Responsible AI
Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance, data quality, lineage, and access‑control standards.
Embed Responsible AI principles, ensuring transparency, fairness, auditability, and human‑in‑the‑loop safeguards.
Partner with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams on AI usage, data privacy, and ethical considerations across global markets.
As Data & AI Solutions Lead, we expect from you:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience delivering enterprise data, analytics, and AI solutions in complex, multi‑national environments.
Proven leadership experience managing multi‑disciplinary technical teams.
Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technical execution and measurable value.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of cloud‑based data platforms (Azure, Databricks, GCP).
Expertise in analytics, machine learning, AI solution architecture, and modern MLOps frameworks.
Knowledge of GenAI deployment patterns including RAG, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks.
Experience managing vendors, delivery partners, and enterprise‑scale deployments.
Preferred Experience
Background in hospitality, travel, luxury retail, or customer‑centric global brands.
Delivery of AI‑driven personalisation, demand forecasting, or guest experience platforms.
Experience scaling GenAI solutions within enterprise governance frameworks.
Experience managing distributed teams across regions and time zones.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and senior stakeholder‑management capabilities.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑focused value.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project‑delivery discipline.
