About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Culinary Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Demi Chef De Partie is responsible to carry out kitchen duties whilst ensuring smooth, coordinated team effort in the kitchen. The Demi Chef De Partie reports to the Junior Sous Chef.

As Demi Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Communicates operational issues to the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
• Attends all training sessions and participates in external events, promotions, and demonstrations.
• Maintains a clean, presentable uniform and ensures personal hygiene.
• Observes, tests, and ensures proper handling of food following health and hygiene procedures.
• Monitors raw food availability, places orders accordingly, and assists in receiving and inspecting goods.
• Completes additional duties as assigned by the department head and management.

As Demi Chef De Partie, we expect from you: 

• EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
• Globally recognized culinary qualification.
• Degree in Hotel and Catering Management will be considered a plus.
• 3 years of culinary experience.
• Reading, writing and verbal proficiency in English and Greek. 
• Ability to be flexible regarding shifts.
