Serve as a key member of P&C leadership team. Lead overall Rewards strategy; from design, implementation, communication to execution of all elements across executive compensation, compensation, mobility, employee benefits and performance management initiatives (including base pay, incentive pay). As well as wellbeing and proactive market trend analysis.

 

Leverage expertise in international labour markets, the position aims to strategically align compensation and benefits strategies with business objectives to attract and retain top talent, ensures competitive positioning, and drive colleague engagement across diverse geographies. In addition, delivers compliant and cost-effective solutions that optimize the colleague experience while adhering to global standard whereby fostering a culture of excellence in strategic compensation and benefits practices on a global scale. Collaborate with key stakeholders including Global VP P&C Operations and Group Director of Corporate P&C.

 

1. Compensation Strategy and Design:

  • Develops and executes an overall company pay philosophy that aligns with the organization’s values, culture, and strategic objectives. 
  • Designs and implements competitive salary structures and variable pay plans.
  • Support hotel operations by establishing benchmarking strategies to gather and analyse market data on compensation trends and salary ranges.
  • Reviews hotel/corporate levelling and banding structure to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Actively participate in, and at times lead, the strategic planning and implementation of new compensation initiatives.
  • Be the lead partner and work with key stakeholders to ensure the successful roll-out and adoption of new compensation programs.
  • Provide guidance to hotels and business units during budgeting process

 

2. Benefits Program Management:

  • Develop colleague wellbeing strategies and initiatives and implement these with collaboration of P&C teams
  • Develop and support colleagues recognition programs and initiatives
  • Lead and implement current and new benefit + Wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ensures competitive benefits offerings within the corporate offices by assessing and benchmarking the organisation’s benefits package against industry standards.
  • Monitors colleagues’ feedback and engagement surveys to identify areas for improvement in benefits offerings and address any concerns or gaps.
  • Stays informed about changes in legislation and industry standards related to colleague benefits, adjusting corporate offerings as necessary to remain competitive and compliant.
  • Evaluates and select benefit vendors and providers.
  • Ensures compliance with local regulations and manage global benefits administration.
  • Analyses benefits utilization and cost-effectiveness.

 

3. Executive Compensation Management:

  • Conducts research and analysis to identify trends and market practices related to executive compensation.
  • Assesses the competitiveness of executive compensation packages and identifies any gaps or discrepancies in compensation and recommending adjustments or enhancement to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Develops and refines the organization’s pay philosophy for executives roles, aligning it with the overall business strategy and gaols.
  • Facilitates and manages the annual performance evaluation and STIP and LTIP payout processes.
  • Supports and prepares for the annual Jardines’ Executive Remuneration Committee meeting.

 

4. Lead Global Mobility Strategy

  • Lead global mobility strategy at corporate.
  • Provides guidance and support to international locations in terms of Mobility related matters.

 

5. Global Compliance and Governance:

  • Stays informed, develop and implement international labour laws, tax regulations, and employment practices.
  • Ensures adherence to local and global compliance requirements.
  • Conducts audits and assessments to maintain compliance.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years of diverse and regional Total Rewards experience international multi site/location coverage.
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field is typically required.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Professional certifications such as Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), similar credentials are highly desirable.  Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, such as tax regulations and employment laws in key international markets, is also beneficial.
  • Subject matter expertise in all aspects of short term, long term / equity incentive programs including design, analysis, assessment, approval, delivery process and stock plan with commensurate knowledge of the valuation, accounting and taxation of the various forms of long-term incentive awards.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver flexible, creative reward strategies that link directly to the drivers of shareholder value.
  • Demonstrable track record to develop and lead communication strategies that build and continuously reinforce employee engagement.
  • Excellent intuition for business with high capacity for data, analysis and comfortable with providing recommendations related to compensation and employee benefits.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to connect with people at all levels.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English
