About the job

Based within the Sales & Marketing in Guangzhou, the Event Sales Manager is responsible for the Event Sales Manager is responsible for handling events, seek for new business and maintain good relationship with clients. They will assist the Director of Events in focusing and motivating the team to achieve the sales goals. The Event Sales Manager reports to the Director of Events.

 

As Event Sales Manager, you will responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist in the establishment of catering sales administration, client history and tracing system within Sales & Marketing.
  • Conduct regular sales activities to professional conference organizers, corporate meeting planners and relevant associations.
  • Conduct site inspections for and entertain existing or prospective meeting and conference influences, decision-makers and end users.
  • Issue BEO and coordinate closely with and provide detailed information to the banquet operations in order to enable the operations to "look after" the client effectively while the event is in-house.
  • Issue group resume and coordinate closely with other operating department (i.e. front office, housekeeping etc.) in order to enable the operations to “look after” the guests effectively while the group is in-house.
  • Conduct Pre-Con Meeting for coming groups and monitor guests feedback as per MbMO
  • Promptly share leads on corporate FIT and travel trade business with relevant members of the corporate and travel sales team.
  • Share leads and assist catering sales where appropriate.
  • Perform any tasks as assigned by the Management

 

As Event Sales Manager, we expect from you:

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a role of either Conference Services or Catering Sales in the hotel industry.  
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage operations and catering operations required.
  • Excellent presentation and proactive communication skills.
  • High Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Possess a friendly, energized and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent English communication skills both written/verbal.

关于职位

该职位位于广州文华东方酒店是市场销售部,宴会销售经理负责负责协调宴会开展,以及宴会客户的开发和维护,协助宴会销售总监,完成相应的销售目标。宴会销售经理向宴会销售总监汇报。

 

作为宴会销售经理,你将负责以下职责:

  • 协助制定宴会销售的行政工作,客户档案和追踪系统
  • 负责对商务客户、使馆和商会,以及经常与本酒店合作或有意与本酒店合作的客户,进行日常销售的拜访工作
  • 定期向会议公司的主办者,各公司签约的公关公司和各有关协会做销售拜访工作。负责向有意与本酒店合作或一些宴会活动的决策者介绍酒店的设施并进行实地考察
  • 发放宴会单和宴会服务部紧密合作,把已经确认的最详细的活动细节传达给宴会服务部,并在会议期间负责监督和协调各部门的工作以保证活动的正常进行
  • 发放客人团队信息,并在会议期间紧密协调各营运部门(如前厅部、客房部等)的工作以保证活动的正常进行
  • 主持召开即将到店团队的协调会,根据要求监督客人的反馈意见
  • 及时准确的将公司和旅行社的散客预定客房信息传达给各相关的客房销售
  • 及时准确的将活动信息传达给相关的客房销售
  • 执行任何管理层委托的工作

 

作为宴会销售经理,我们期望你具备以下能力:

  • 两年以上酒店行业从事会议或宴会销售的工作经验。
  • 了解餐饮及宴会运作。
  • 优秀的表达能力和沟通能力。
  • 具备在压力下高度灵活和工作的能力。
  • 友好、充满活力和外向的性格。
  • 优秀的英语书面/口头沟通能力。
