We are looking for an Executive Housekeeper to join our pre-opening team at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, set to open in Spring 2025.

Surrounded by natural beauty, the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca spreads over 3 hectares of landscaped cliff tops and gardens cascading down to the sea, where it offers unique access to two coves surrounded by crystalline waters. The property is ideally located within Calvià, one of the most exclusive municipalities of the island, and close to key attractions such as the Portals port, the historical landmarks of the capital Palma de Mallorca, and the international airport.

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca will feature 131 guestrooms, including 44 suites and nine bungalows located just a few steps from the waterfront. The spacious accommodation will provide full or partial sea views, outdoor terraces or balconies, some of which offer private panoramic plunge pools. A comprehensive Spa at Mandarin Oriental will offer the Group’s signature wellness therapies and beauty treatments, with a focus on local nature-inspired programmes. The spa includes an indoor swimming pool, while three outdoor pools are located across the resort.  Guests will also have access to a wide range of water-sports as well as a comprehensive Children’s Club.

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the department inclusive of all public areas and the laundry/valet facility, maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness in all guestrooms and public areas, recommending and implementing procedural changes.

 

The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for the following:

  • Motivate, train, supervise, evaluate and discipline all Housekeeping and Laundry employees.
  • Plan daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly assignments and projects for all Room Attendants, Guest Floor Attendants, Public Area, Uniform / Laundry Attendants and Supervisors.
  • Perform administrative duties such as, but not limited to, departmental scheduling, payroll, purchase requests and monthly consumption reports.
  • Implement control on department labour costs. Minimize costs while ensure adequate staffing is available to provide five star service.
  • Schedule walk-through and follow up with all outside contractors.
  • Maintain an ongoing FLHSS (Fire Life Health Safety and Security) program.
  • Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
  • The Executive Housekeeper will act at requested times as Duty Manager.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive Housekeeping managerial experience or in a similar role in Luxury Hotels/Resorts preferred
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills both written and spoken, in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including morning, afternoon, overnight, weekends and holidays.
