About The Role As Waiter/Waitress (Banquet Setter) at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid within the Food & Beverage department, you will be responsible for preparing, setting and maintaining banquet and event spaces to the highest standards. You will work closely with F&B and Kitchen to ensure flawless room layouts, table settings and timely service support for events of all sizes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver all guest-facing service tasks in line with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) standards and provide support to any F&B outlet as required.
Transport, prepare and maintain service equipment, trolleys, cutlery and linens, ensuring stations are fully stocked and items are in good condition.
Set up, execute and dismantle banquets and events, collaborating closely with Banqueting, Head of Department and kitchen teams for flawless delivery of special functions.
Perform food handling, assembly, plating and distribution processes (manual and automated), serve and clear tables efficiently, and assist with retail/on-board F&B items as required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food and beverage menus (including cocktails and wines) and allergens; promptly communicate any guest requests or incidents to supervisors to ensure full satisfaction.
Keep work areas impeccably clean, control and inspect merchandise/utensils, report shortages or defects and work in close cooperation with all hotel departments.
Comply with MOHG health & safety, Safe & Sound and FLHSSE standards; present a professional appearance and actively promote cost- and energy-saving practices.

Excellent knowledge of luxury hotel F&B operations and guest service standards.

Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused under pressure.
A collaborative mindset, working seamlessly with multicultural teams.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in luxury hospitality, ideally in banqueting, events or similar F&B role.
Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are an advantage.
