About The Role
As Waiter/Waitress (Banquet Setter) at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid within the Food & Beverage department, you will be responsible for preparing, setting and maintaining banquet and event spaces to the highest standards. You will work closely with F&B and Kitchen to ensure flawless room layouts, table settings and timely service support for events of all sizes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver all guest-facing service tasks in line with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) standards and provide support to any F&B outlet as required.
  • Transport, prepare and maintain service equipment, trolleys, cutlery and linens, ensuring stations are fully stocked and items are in good condition.
  • Set up, execute and dismantle banquets and events, collaborating closely with Banqueting, Head of Department and kitchen teams for flawless delivery of special functions.
  • Perform food handling, assembly, plating and distribution processes (manual and automated), serve and clear tables efficiently, and assist with retail/on-board F&B items as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food and beverage menus (including cocktails and wines) and allergens; promptly communicate any guest requests or incidents to supervisors to ensure full satisfaction.
  • Keep work areas impeccably clean, control and inspect merchandise/utensils, report shortages or defects and work in close cooperation with all hotel departments.
  • Comply with MOHG health & safety, Safe & Sound and FLHSSE standards; present a professional appearance and actively promote cost- and energy-saving practices.

  • Excellent knowledge of luxury hotel F&B operations and guest service standards.
  • Highly responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused under pressure.
  • A collaborative mindset, working seamlessly with multicultural teams.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in luxury hospitality, ideally in banqueting, events or similar F&B role.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are an advantage.
