Based at the Mandarin Oriental Corporate Office in Hong Kong, the Financial & Research Analyst (6-month Contract) will be responsible for conducting in‑depth market and financial evaluations of new hotel greenfield developments and rebranding opportunities. The role supports the Group’s strategic pillar of ACCELERATION. The Feasibility Analyst reports to the Vice President, Global Feasibility.

As a Financial & Research Analyst , you will be responsible for:

  • Financial Modelling & Projections: Building financial models, including revenue forecasts and cost estimations in accordance with USALI, and developing discounted cashflow analyses to assess project viability.

  • Market Research & Analysis: Conducting comprehensive market research on demand, supply, and competitive trends for ultra‑luxury hotel projects via desktop research, site visits, and stakeholder interviews.

  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partnering closely with Development, Technical Services, Revenue Management, Operations, Finance, and Legal to evaluate new opportunities.

  • Reporting & Presentations: Preparing RFP proposals, feasibility reports and pitching presentations to support the acquisition of new management agreements.

As Financial & Research Analyst, we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Hospitality Management, Real Estate, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent (preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within luxury hotels, hospitality consulting, real estate development, or finance.

  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, including DCF.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modelling) and PowerPoint.

  • Fluency in English and Chinese, with strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage stakeholders across regions.
