Über die Position

Als IT Manager im Mandarin Oriental, Vienna bist du Teil des IT Teams und für verschiedene Aufgaben verantwortlich. Du berichtest an unseren Director of IT.

Als IT Manager wirst du für folgende Aufgaben verantwortlich sein: 

• Sicherstellung der Überwachung aller 24/7-Systeme (z. B. PMS, POS, E-Mail und Internet) und jederzeitige Verfügbarkeit technischer Services.
• Aufbau und regelmäßige Tests eines Business-Continuity-Plans in Zusammenarbeit mit den Abteilungsleitungen für alle IT-unterstützten Geschäftsbereiche.
• Allgemeine IT-Aufgaben, wie z. B. Konfiguration von Software und Hardware sowie Einrichtung von Netzwerken.
• Administration der IT-Infrastruktur (z. B. Multimedia-Systeme, Drucker, VMware, Telefonsysteme, Backups etc.).
• Benutzerunterstützung im täglichen Betrieb.
• Regelmäßige Durchführung und Kontrolle von Datensicherungen (Backups).
• Überwachung der Datensicherheit gemäß DSGVO in Zusammenarbeit mit dem/der Datenschutzbeauftragten.
• Sicherstellung und Überprüfung der PCI-Compliance, insbesondere im Rahmen von Penetrationstests.
• Umsetzung von IT-Sicherheitsmaßnahmen und Compliance-Vorgaben.
• Erste/r Ansprechpartner/in für alle internen IT-Anliegen im Hotel sowie in der Zusammenarbeit mit externen Dienstleistern.
• Bei Bedarf Übernahme von Supportanfragen außerhalb der regulären Arbeitszeiten.
• Eskalation von Problemen an den Regional VP IT, wenn der/die Hotel-IT-Direktor/in nicht erreichbar oder im Urlaub ist.

Als IT Manager erwarten wir von dir:  

• Abgeschlossenes Studium oder Masterabschluss (wünschenswert) im Bereich IT.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse branchenspezifischer Anwendungen im Hotel- und Gastgewerbe sind zwingend erforderlich.
• Vertrautheit mit dem End-of-Day-Prozess sowie mit RMS-Systemen.
• Umfangreiche Erfahrung in der technischen Betreuung von IT-Systemen sowie von Hardware und Software im Bereich Consumer Electronics.
• Ausgeprägte Fähigkeiten in der Priorisierung und Organisation zur Einhaltung von Terminen und erfolgreichen Projektumsetzungen.
• Ausgezeichnete Kunden- und Serviceorientierung.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Vienna within the IT Team in Vienna, the IT Manager is responsible for various duties. The IT Manager reports to the Director of IT.

As IT Manager you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Ensure that all 24/7 systems (e.g., PMS, POS, email, and internet) are monitored and that technical service is always available.
• Ensure a business continuity plan is established and tested together with the department heads for all part of the business supported by IT.
• General IT: e.g., configuring software and hardware, setting up networks.
• Administration of the IT infrastructure (e.g., multimedia systems, printers, VMware, telephone system, backups, etc.).
• User support.
• Ensure that backups are performed and checked regularly.
• Monitor data security following the GDPR - collaborate with the data protection specialist.
• Ensuring compliance with PCI standards and checking them during penetration tests. 
• Implementation of IT security measures and compliance tasks.
• You are the first point of contact for all internally IT-related topics in the hotel and with suppliers.
• As and when required, take support calls out of hours.
• To escalate issues to the Regional VP IT if the Hotel IT Director cannot be reached reasonably or is on Leave.

As IT Manager we expect from you:

• Degree holder or a master’s degree (Preferable) in IT.
• Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications is a must.
• You're well acquainted with the end-of-day process and RMS.
• Extensive expertise in providing technical support for general IT systems and consumer electronics hardware/software.
• Prioritization and organizational skills are necessary to meet deadlines and project execution.
• Able to deliver high-quality customer service.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all primary responsibilities and tasks.
