About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris within the Accounting Department, the Payroll Assistant reports to the Payroll Manager.
As Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for the following duties:
As Payroll Assistant we expect from you:
Update employee records and manage the entry of all health-related absences (accidents, sick leave, maternity leave, etc.) in compliance with applicable labor laws, as well as update monitoring dashboards.
Verify schedules entered by managers in order to prepare and input variable payroll elements (transport allowances, advances, bonuses, wage garnishments, etc.).
Prepare and/or verify part of the payroll, including temporary staff pay ("Extras"), unemployment certificates, and ensure payroll processing for apprenticeship and internship contracts.
Perform basic payroll calculations for both managerial and non-managerial staff, process end-of-contract settlements (final pay slips), and monitor key indicators such as paid leave balances, public holidays, and executive leave days.
Contribute to the preparation of various reports and annual statements.
Stay up to date with changes in labor and employment legislation.
Manage the administrative aspects related to health insurance, provident schemes, and portability of benefits.
As Payroll Assistant we expect from you:
1 to 2 years of experience in payroll and/or HR administration, with a background in payroll training.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry would be an asset.
Proficient in computer tools, particularly Excel and Word. Familiarity with the payroll software “Cegid RHPI” and the time management system “OCTIME” would be a plus.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Strong organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset.
