About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the People & Culture Department in Dubai, the People & Culture Intern is responsible tosupport the department with administrative tasks, internal communications, and event coordination, contributing to a smooth and engaging employee experience. People & Culture Intern reports to the People & Culture Executive.

As a People & Culture Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the People & Culture department, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in handling documents and records.
  • Assist in the preparation, formatting, and distribution of internal communication materials, including posters, announcements, and newsletters.
  • Respond to general colleague inquiries in a timely and professional manner, offering helpful information or directing them to the appropriate People & Culture team member.
  • Support the coordination of People & Culture events, workshops, and campaigns by managing logistics, materials, and communications.
  • Help maintain digital and physical filing systems for People & Culture documents, ensuring data is well-organised and up to date.
  • Contribute to a positive and welcoming People & Culture environment by assisting colleagues with onboarding needs, guidance, or general support during their interactions with the department.

As a People & Culture Intern, we expect from you: 

  • Current student or a fresh graduate of Hotel Management School.
  • Previous internships in Human Resources or Learning & Development are advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfortable with digital tools like Canva.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and pleasant messages.
  • Quick to learn, responsive to guidance, and confident in asking questions to improve understanding.
  • Capable of working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively with colleagues and management.
