About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen within the Sales & Marketing Division in Shenzhen, the Reservations Captain is responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to all guests, to ensure guest experience is one that is beyond the expectations of the guest and aligned with our Legendary Quality Experiences. The Reservations Captain reports to the Reservations Manager.
As Reservations Captain, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Handle telephone reservations and incoming correspondence pertaining to both FIT and group reservations
Ensure the reservations being entered into the PMS system are in correct format as specified in the Operational manual.
Ensure communications among other departments, notably Sales, Concierge, Housekeeping, Front Desk and other departments concerned is maintained with information which pertains to them
Assist the Reservations Manager to maintain up-to-date records for all contract arrangements.
Check arrival lists and double check that any special requests are followed correctly.
As Reservations Captain, we expect from you:
Minimum 1 year’s relevant working experience in similar capacity
Excellent communication and organization skills
Fluent in Spoken and Written English and Mandarin
