About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Reservations Department in Dubai, the Reservations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Reservations Team alongside the Reservations Manager to maximize revenue and Guest Satisfaction. The Reservations Supervisor will work with the Reservations Team and with the Sales and Events teams to develop future and repeat business opportunities. Reservations Supervisor reports to the Reservations Manager.

As a Reservations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Identify new sales opportunities, monitor market trends, and maximize revenue through lead development and customer engagement.
  • Ensure optimal occupancy and room rates by analysing seasonal and historical trends while maintaining competitive awareness.
  • Oversee reservation processes, including daily reports, customer satisfaction monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Provide leadership, training, and supervision to the Reservation team, ensuring adherence to department policies and performance goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and other departments to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain reservation systems, ensuring accurate bookings, rates, and account tracking for seamless hotel operations.

As a Reservations Supervisor, we expect from you: 

  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in Reservations and 1 year in supervisory role; previous work experience in Reservations or Front Office in a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Previous experience working in the GCC, with prior hotel pre-opening experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge on computer systems (i.e. MS Office applications) and prior experience with PMS system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Effective communicator with leadership abilities, capable of motivating teams and understanding guest needs.
