About the Job:


As Room Service and Banquet Manager at Mandarin Oriental Paris, you will oversee the daily operations of both the room service and banquet departments, ensuring exceptional service delivery to guests. You will lead and inspire the team to uphold the hotel’s high standards while providing guests with a seamless dining experience, whether in their rooms or at events.

As Room Service and Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of room service and banquet functions to ensure exceptional service and high standards of quality.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the team, ensuring that all staff members are performing at their best and delivering superior service.
  • Ensure room service orders are prepared and delivered promptly and to the highest standard.
  • Coordinate and manage banquet events, ensuring smooth execution and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of food and beverage services.
  • Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory for both room service and banquet operations, ensuring stock levels are adequate and cost-effective.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance service.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to meet operational needs while ensuring team satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with the sales and events team to ensure the smooth execution of banquets and private events.

As Room Service and Banquet Manager, We Expect From You:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment, with experience managing both room service and banquets.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including banqueting procedures.
  • Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs.
