We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Revenue Analyst to join our team at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech.
Scope of Position
The Revenue Analyst is responsible for providing support and contingency to the Revenue Manager for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to revenue maximization. The role directly contributes to hotel room revenue by analysing and translating data; effectively monitoring the inventory, demand forecasts, and current trends. The revenue analyst will also support on the Reservations aspect where needed.
Main Duties and Supporting Responsibilities
The Revenue Analyst will be responsible for:
Assisting the Revenue Manager with essential administrative duties, fulfill reporting and analysis tasks – This includes but is not limited to the preparation of accurate daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts and reports, including transient and group business trends, market share evaluations, and revenue performance critiques
Analyzing booking patterns, pricing sensitivity, and market trends
Supports the Reservations Manager and Reservations’ team in monitoring daily operations as needed
Supports the Revenue Manager and Reservations Manager in ensuring all requests are handled by the team within the time frame set by the company
Work closely with the Reservations & Sales Team in achieving business targets
Assists in controlling rooms inventory, including allocation and reservations to maximize yield and peak dates, and supports room-based marketing activities.
Ensuring all data input into the system is accurate. (Geo Source, Product Quality, Pricing).
Supporting in the preparation of the Revenue Strategy Meetings as well as forecasts, month end reports, budget exercise etc.
Monitoring rate integrity to eliminate parity risks and to ensure the property has Best Rate Guarantee compliance
Tracks sales programs and promotion to support in ensuring relevant tactical actions are in place
Helps & ensures consistent and rational hotel pricing and yield strategy across all channels and segments according to the MOHG pricing philosophy.
Ensures systems’ health include not limited to checking of interfaces to avoid errors and discrepancies
Updates and drives content management on third party sites as per global guidelines
Assists in ensuring accurate room-night and revenue forecasting, with input from Sales for Group forecasts
Managing reservation data integrity and support with the rate loading and maintenance process
Ensuring accuracy across all distribution channels and systems (e.g., GDS, OTA, IDeaS)
Evaluating the various channels’ performance and potential reasons for this performance
Providing reports on production, trends, booking and stay patterns as well as channel analysis
Acting as the liaison with the Digital Marketing team to support the brand.com growth for the ultimate optimisation of online distribution channels.
Supporting the RM in Identifying need periods to implementing the relevant strategies
Monitoring competitor activity (reporting on these checks and the impact of pricing strategies in place etc.) - support in formulating appropriate suggestions for strategies through use of STR and other reports
Ensuring compliance and implementation of the MOHG Revenue Management Standards, Policies & Procedures
Providing ongoing support for the reservations, revenue and sales teams where needed
Maintaining a full knowledge of all hotel facilities and prices, hotel’s primary competition, Industry trends, local market conditions etc.
Knowledgeable of the Destination, competition and Market trends and business seasonality
