About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen within the Sales & Marketing Division in Shenzhen, the Sales Manager is responsible for achieving room night & catering target set for the conference & banquet market in the marketing plan. The Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales.

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Conduct regular sales activities to business association, chamber of commerce, repeat and prospective clients
  • Focus on forward selling and maximization of available space more than six months out in order to achieve high yield room business
  • Develop a strong repeat business base and constantly source for new business
  • Provide feedback on relevant trends, competitor pricing, creative concepts and any other information that will contribute toward the achievement of departmental financial and hotel objectives
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head

As Sales Manager, we expect from you: 

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in similar capacity
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is required
