About the job 

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as the Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, associates, and company property. You will oversee the practical implementation of security measures, protecting against any risks or threats to the hotel environment. This role includes managing the Fire, Life, Health, Safety, and Security function for the hotel through effective development and enforcement of security and risk management policies. 

As Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:  

• Develop and enforce security protocols to safeguard hotel property and individuals (guests and staff). 

• Oversee compliance with Fire, Life, Health, and Safety regulations to maintain a safe environment. 

• Manage emergency response efforts, including fire drills, evacuations, and first aid training for all staff. 

• Lead and manage the security team, ensuring they are properly trained, equipped, and prepared for all security-related situations. 

• Address and resolve security concerns regarding both guests and associates, ensuring their safety and well-being. 

• Manage surveillance equipment and systems to monitor for and prevent potential security breaches. 

• Record, investigate, and analyze security incidents, accidents, or breaches, providing recommendations to improve procedures. 

• Work with departments like Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance to ensure effective coordination of security efforts across the hotel. 

• Create and implement security training programs for hotel associates, ensuring familiarity with safety protocols and emergency response procedures. 

As Security Supervisor, we expect from you: 

Experience and education 

• Previous security experience in Luxury Hotels/Resorts preferred. 

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Hospitality Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field will be a plus. 

• Certification in security management or law enforcement training is highly preferred. 

Technical Skills 

• Proficient in using and managing security systems such as CCTV, alarm systems, and access control. 

• Skilled in leading and coordinating emergency response efforts during incidents such as fires or evacuations. 

• Well-versed in local and international safety laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risks. 

• Ability to manage and oversee secure access to facilities, ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
