The hotel Spa consists of treatment rooms, an indoor pool and a fitness centre offering a tranquil and luxurious wellness experience.

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the Spa Department, the Spa Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization and smooth operation of the spa facilities while ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their spa journey.

The Spa Attendant reports to the Spa Manager / Spa Director.

As Spa Attendant, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the company philosophy and culture through the Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences, Guiding Principles and D.E.L.I.G.H.T., ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of all spa areas including changing rooms, showers, relaxation areas, fitness centre, pool area, pantry and treatment suites.
  • Ensuring spa facilities remain neat, organized and fully stocked with guest amenities, linens and supplies at all times.
  • Folding, arranging and replenishing towels and spa items according to spa standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Monitoring locker areas to ensure clean linen is available and removing used towels and soiled linen promptly.
  • Assisting therapists with the preparation and resetting of treatment rooms before and after treatments when required.
  • Supporting spa operations across various areas including reception support, spa retail, relaxation areas, fitness centre and spa suites.
  • Assisting with maintaining inventory levels of spa supplies and notifying the Spa Concierge or management when replenishment is needed.
  • Reporting any maintenance or equipment issues promptly to the Spa Concierge or Spa management team.
  • Ensuring all spa standards, procedures, health and safety regulations and hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
  • Welcoming guests warmly, acknowledging them at all times and proactively offering assistance when needed.
  • Explaining spa facilities and assisting guests to ensure a smooth and comfortable spa experience.
  • Providing refreshments and attending to guests in relaxation areas, waiting areas and fitness facilities.
  • Assisting in maintaining the overall atmosphere of calm, cleanliness and luxury within the spa environment.
  • Participating in daily briefings, departmental meetings and required training sessions.
  • Supporting spa colleagues and other hotel departments when required to ensure seamless service.
  • Performing opening and closing duties and ensuring the spa environment remains organized throughout the day.
