About the job
Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Rooms Division Department, the Wings Bulter Supervisor is responsible to supervise and directs all aspects of the butler department as outlined in the Rooms division manual. The Wings Bulter Supervisor reports to the Assistant Manager - Butler Services.
As a Wings Butler Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Understand and implement all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and training programs
Ensure all food products are consistently prepared and served in accordance with established recipes, portion sizes, cooking methods, and presentation standards
Provide warm, friendly, and courteous service to all guests, ensuring they always feel welcome
Achieve company objectives in sales, service quality, and facility presentation
Continuously develop team members through coaching, training, and professional development opportunities
Prepare and maintain all required documentation, reports, and forms accurately and on time
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, clean, and in good working conditions through regular inspections and participation in preventive maintenance programs
Oversee employee performance appraisals, ensuring they are conducted accurately and within set timelines
Compile and submit the monthly regional training report
Ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining the highest standards of guest service
Support cost-effective operations and assist in the efficient organization of departmental activities
Maximize departmental profitability through effective cost control and resource management
Identify and address service or operational issues based on guest feedback, in coordination with the Assistant Manager – Butler Services
Maintain an organized and efficient departmental structure and workflow
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager – Butler Services
Uphold the company’s image through proper grooming, uniform standards, and adherence to personal hygiene policies
Organize staff schedules, manage overtime, and ensure adequate coverage to meet operational needs
Coordinate closely with the Front Office regarding arrivals, departures, VIP guests, and special requests
As Wings Butler Supervisor, we expect from you:
Previous experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is required, resort experience is a plus
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a proven ability to deliver personalized guest services
Proficient in Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), Microsoft Office applications, and guest history databases
Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages will be considered an advantage
