MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL GROUP

We are currently looking for a talented and highly driven Accountant.

The Accountant will manage and control actions relating to supplier operations. He/she will have control over all supplier accounting flows within Mandarin Oriental, Geneva. He/she will prepare and control reconciliations related to customer transactions, assist in the preparation of customer invoices and support the Credit Manager's monthly operations.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Organisation and control of all overhead invoices
  • Controlling the supplier ageing balance, with the regular establishment of an action plan to resolve any disputes and unpaid invoices
  • Monitoring payment reminders and supplier statements.
  • Validating the accuracy of invoicing data entered into the approval system
  • Preparing the list of end-of-month provisions for supplier accounting
  • Entering invoicing data into the accounting software, where necessary
  • Periodic checks of recurring invoices with purchase orders (signed delivery note, signed invoice).
  • Coordinating the creation of supplier accounts in Sun, B4B and MoretonBay software.
  • Assisting with the annual review and clarification of files.
  • Daily reconciliations of customer payment methods (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, etc).
  • Preparation of recurring invoices to hotel guests (check-out guests, external guests, groups, etc)
  • Managing customer accounts in HMS: income postings, discounts, transfers, customers not subject to VAT, etc.
  • Managing emails and replies in collaboration with the Credit Manager.
  • Daily checking of Group or Agreement invoicing to ensure that charges are applied correctly and that credit limits are not exceeded.
  • Checking Travel Agent Commissions
  • Assist with the customer refund process
  • Assisting the Credit Manager with the month-end closing.

Job Requirements:

With at least one year's experience in an accounting position in the hotel industry, you have a post-graduate degree or equivalent. You have a perfect command of IT systems, as well as French and English, and are comfortable on the telephone.
