Our Hotel
This position is located at Mandarin Oriental Boston. Holding both the AAA Five Diamond and the Forbes Five-Star awards, Mandarin Oriental, Boston enjoys a coveted location in beautiful Back Bay. With a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, the hotel offers the perfect blend of luxury and style.
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for marketing the Hotel's services globally; building guest relationships and business opportunities for the hotel; interacting with prospective groups; negotiating guest contracts for hotels rooms, events and convention services; meeting and exceeding revenue targets for both guest rooms and food and beverage targets in their deployed market segment (s) as outlined in the marketing plan. The Senior Sales Manager will report to the Director of Commerce.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
• Manage all accounts from assigned markets.
• Secure new high-end net worth accounts
• Weekly hotel sites presenting property
• Organize sales calls in said territories
• Maintain the Delphi database with up to date information
• Liaise with Regional Sales Offices worldwide
• Conduct site inspections, outside sales calls and client entertainment as required
• Create and implement strategic prospecting plan and sales action plan for review
• Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
• Attend hotel and industry related functions and tradeshows
• Represent and cross-sell Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group properties
• Support MOHG regional sales office and maintain the relationship with them
• Plan and operate hotel “FAMiliarization visits” for targeted clients
