Barback, THE AUBREY

We’re looking for a Barback to join our iconic team at The Aubrey.

The Aubrey is a Japanese Izakaya & Bar concept with 132 covers and a private dining room serving brunch, dinner and late-night drinks. Our menu features classic dishes from Japanese cuisine, in interpretations that adapt and change with the seasons.

The restaurant has been created as a partnership between Maximal Concepts and Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. Maximal Concepts is a Hong Kong-based company that has since expanded to locations including Singapore, Las Vegas and Vancouver. 

As a Barback at The Aubrey, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the bar
  • Prepare mise en place
  • Ensure bar stations are fully stocked and tidy
  • Polishing of glassware and China

As a Barback, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary but are mainly evening or late-night shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.

To be a successful Barback candidate, you will have ideally previous experience in a high standard hospitality establishment but a minimum of a Customer Service experience in a luxury environment.
