We are looking for a Commis de Patisserie to join our Pastry Team at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department in Zurich, the Commis de Patisserie is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experiences. The Commis de Patisserie reports to the Pastry Sous Chef and Pastry Executive Chef.

As Commis de Patisserie you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Preparation and cooking of high quality pastries, confectionery and desserts
  • Working directly with the patisserie team to ensure smooth workflows during a shift
  • Assisting with setting up and dismantling the dessert buffets
  • Compliance with all guidelines and proper storage of all food and raw materials
  • Compliance with and daily monitoring of hygiene regulations and cleanliness in accordance with HACCP guidelines

As Commis de Patisserie we expect you to have:

  • Completed training as a pastry chef or cook
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position includes weekend and holiday shifts
  • Good communication skills, ability to work in a team, reliability 
  • High level of commitment and quality awareness 
  • Very good knowledge of English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
