About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, the Credit Manager will oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable function, ensuring effective credit risk management, timely collections, and strong collaboration with both internal departments and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Credit Manager plays a key role in maintaining the financial health of the property while upholding our service standards.
As Credit Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Managing Accounts Receivable and monitoring credit limits in accordance with company policies.
Ensuring the Aging of Debtors is kept under control, with regular reporting and proactive follow-up.
Overseeing customer credit assessments and setting appropriate credit terms.
Collaborating with internal departments, including Sales, Front Office, and Reservations, to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
Conducting and leading monthly credit meetings with relevant stakeholders.
Preparing aging reports and analysing accounts receivable data during month-end closings.
Managing the collections process, following up with clients to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.
Identifying and mitigating credit risks, escalating issues when necessary.
Assisting in the implementation of best practices and process improvements within the Accounts Receivable function.
Supervising and training the Accounts Receivable team, fostering a culture of excellence, compliance, and service.
Carrying out any other duties reasonably assigned by the Director of Finance.
As Credit Manager, we expect from you:
Experience and education
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Credit Manager or in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel or international hospitality brand.
Strong knowledge of credit control, accounts receivable management, and financial analysis.
Understanding of statutory requirements and financial regulations in Spain.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hotel finance systems (PMS, ERP).
Experience working with financial software and reporting tools.
Strong understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and risk management.
Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills spoken and written both in Spanish & English.
