About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the Engineering Department in London, the Duty Engineer is integral part of the engineering operation and play a crucial role in the upkeep of the property with ensuring company FLHSS standards and checks are completed as necessary. The Duty Engineer reports to the Engineering Supervisor.

As a Duty Engineer, you will responsible for the following duties:

• Performing check of all MEP systems, in addition carry out Health, Safety and Fire Safety systems checks as assigned and trained.
• Motivating subordinates by providing close assistance and demonstrating know-how, promoting professionalism, supervising and being the liaison person to contractors.
• Demonstrating a Can-Do attitude and taking care of all technical aspects of the building 

 As a Duty Engineer, we expect from you: 

• To be electrically and mechanically competent, ideally withholding current City and Guilds qualifications or equivalent.
• To be the building expert for any technical challenge and in all emergency situations.
• To be the leading engineering person in the absence of the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer
