The FLHSS Technician will assist the Shift Supervisor to manage the shift operations. He or she is also responsible to keep all equipment in good repair with minimum downtime by providing day to day maintenance of the hotel. And to complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following hotels standard operating procedures. Continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments, and fellow staffs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannually, and annual inspections and preventative maintenance services done internally.
  • Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports in a timely manner.
  • Become proficient at maintaining a highly structured inspection based upon MOHG and local regulations standards and practices.
  • Troubleshoots and/or arranges for the repair or replacement of defective fire/safety equipment if necessary.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of FLHSSS initiatives in the hotel and office tower.
  • Assists in building inspection for compliance with pertinent life/safety and fire-safety standards as mandated by the company and local regulation.
  • To monitor fire alarm / Life Safety Systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operations and to handle emergencies involving the systems.
  • Assists with the preparation and issuance of hot work and fire impairment permits.
  • To assist in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate risk management programs designed to promote safe working conditions.
  • Assist contractors for testing and inspections of Life safety system that are in place.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma  or  associate degree in Engineering or specialized training in Fire Safety.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years in a fire safety technical background.
  • 1-3 Years industry experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as NFPA and local building codes
  • Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and other FLHSS equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
