Responsibilities:

  • Principal duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following, which indicates the general nature of work expected:
  • Attends to repairs and maintenance of all types of mechanical equipment such as heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment, pumps, water treatment plant, etc.
  • Carry out electric arc and oxy-acetylene welding.
  • Attending to pipe repairs or fitting work including minor plumbing jobs.
  • Ensuring that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guest room or public area.
  • Ensuring that the plant room, workshop, and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.
  • Observing prescribed safety standards. Helping maintain safe conditions for self and others. Performing related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Interacts with other Departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions, and festivities.

Skills & requirements:

  • Diploma or apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical 
  • Previous resort experience in the same role, within a luxury hospitality environment
  • Ability to solve engineering problems using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principles.
