Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is preparing for the landmark opening of Mandarin Oriental, Makati—a new icon of contemporary luxury in the heart of Manila’s premier district. We are now seeking an exceptional Hotel Manager to join our pre‑opening leadership team.

 

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Hotel Manager will oversee day‑to‑day operations and ensure the flawless delivery of Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service. This position is pivotal in shaping the operational excellence, culture, and guest experience strategy as we open one of the region’s most anticipated hotels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire operational divisions to achieve the highest standards of service and efficiency.
  • Drive pre‑opening readiness across Rooms, F&B, Spa & Wellness, Engineering, and Security.
  • Uphold brand values, service philosophy, and cultural standards across the hotel.
  • Support commercial performance through guest satisfaction, operational optimisation, and cost stewardship.
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues, owners, and corporate partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and operational policies.
  • Champion colleague engagement, development, and talent retention.

What We Are Looking For

  • A seasoned operational leader with significant luxury hotel experience, ideally at Hotel Manager or Executive Assistant Manager level.
  • Proven success in pre‑opening or major project environments is highly advantageous.
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent communication, cultural intelligence, and interpersonal skills.
  • A guest‑centric mindset, strategic thinking ability, and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, adapt quickly, and drive continuous improvement.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and for developing teams to achieve their full potential.
