About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Kitchen Division in Hong Kong, the Junior Chef de Partie is responsible to ensure sufficient and high quality food is prepared and displayed as mandated by the Executive Chef in order to acquire maximum customer satisfaction and profitability. The Junior Chef de Partie reports to the Head Pastry Chef – Terrace Boulud.

As Junior Chef de Partie - Terrace Boulud, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assist the daily operation in pastry kitchen, including production, preparation and presentation, ensure the quality and consistency of service delivery in alignment with the overall hotel initiatives and brand standards

• Communicate directly with customers in liaison with the Cake Shop to ensure all the special orders are properly done and follow up

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in and around all culinary work areas

• Ensure all food products are stored properly in their appropriate fridges and storage containers throughout shift

• Follow procedure and ensure safe and proper use of equipment at all times and to instruct this to all culinary associates

As Junior Chef de Partie - Terrace Boulud, we expect from you:

• At least 3 - 5 years relevant experience in pastry kitchen, preferably from high-end bakery and patisserie

• Well interpersonal skills, multi-Tasking and self-motivated

• Attention to details, well-organized and responsible

• Independent and able to work under pressure

• A good standard of spoken and written English
